Painting With Digital Light

9 Jan

Remember the post where I told you about painting with Digital Light by Live Rasoloarison ?? ( worry not, it’s just a few posts below) well, I went ahead and gave it a shot some time back. Just this instant I thought to myself that it might make a good blog post. Well, how wouldn’t it?

Anywho, it was epic giving it a trial. I took a rather boring image and post processed it, kinda looking to give it that amazing light streaks that the other photographer had blown me away with.

Here it is,

Incase you are wondering, those are my pals. I am/ was involved in a dance group in school last year (this year too, God willing) An amazing bunch of dancers these guys are.  Okay, so yeah, I accredit all the inspiration behind this from that other post I told you guys about. What do you think, is it a type of processing I should explore??

peace

Painting with Digital Light #inspiration

16 Nov

I am sitting here, planning to do this post, but I know if I let it go, I may not be able to do this post any time soon. So I just have to do it.

I stumbled on some of the most epic digital painting by a French artist that I have just got to share. He goes by his name, (I think studio name ) Live Rasoloarison is a malagasy freelance graphic artist who lives in Paris. He is specialized in illustration, graphic design, photo retouching and digital photography. ( from his ‘about me’)

Any who, without further ado,…

Inspiration: Wedding Photography by Daniel Griffiths

23 Aug

Daniel Griffiths is an Australian based photographer his style of Photography is deeply authentic and has a photo journalistic feel. It is no surprise, as he is a seasoned photo journalist.

I found his work on Youtube a little over a year ago. Over time, I have not been able to find his other work online, although he has a beautiful website and a blog. Visit his blog here. And Website Here.

Well I really do not have much to say, but, this is defintely a talented wedding photographer.

For some time now, I have wanted to do a research on wedding photography, so I went back, collecting inspiration and looking all over for photographers whom I feel inspire me much when it comes to photography. Here is one of them, the angles, composition and the editing of these photos is just superb. Not to mention the lighting and the location.

My hope is that you are able to grasp some inspiration from his work, as his work is truly something to marvel at. I wouldn’t be exactly able to define what his style is, but it is unique and beautiful. And that is what counts. I have heard a whole lot the discussion about wedding photography not being an art, and I disagree. It is, this work is proof that it is.

Check this out.

And well, here are videos from his Youtube Channel. Hope you watch them, enjoy, then get inspired.

1. the one I fell in love with totally.

2. A randomly beautiful one.

3. A later one with newer beautiful images.

Be inspired.

The Tree that Grew on a Rock

25 Jan

Is this a bad name for a post? Yes? NO?… aaah who cares!…. lol, I do.

Never mind though, it happens , I sometimes run out of Titles for posts. Sometimes I have so many of them, with no posts to match.

Any way, I have been doing a whole lot of learning. On photography and on post production. Well, I can’t quite say that I am good at what I do, but I sure do know I am a really good learner. I have been learning some post production techniques, ones which I plan to use form know on. Its funny though, some of them its actually about Numbers. I didn’t know you had to have like a certain balance of something to be able to achieve certain effects. Now I do!,.. Yay!!

Aaaaany who, this is a tree that actually grew on a Rock.

What do I like about this photo?? well, I’m still trying to figure that out

Rock Art

22 Jan

You have heard of it, seen it in History books, well, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, 21st Century Rock Art.

Rock art happens to be among the earliest forms of writing and art that man ever did. The first drawing pad was against the wall, its unfortunate to think that that has evolved into Graffiti, but then again come to think of it, Graffiti is actually a very cool form of art. Solid line of thought there, that there were budding and passionate artists that just spent their time drawing on the walls. I can imagine it grew into a fad, it was the in thing, Rock artists would meet and make sure they scribble in all the Rocks that they found. Then we also got Rock art enthusiasts, the Chiefs and elderly people who purchased the forms of art. Those who Bought a Cave, as a collection since it had Art in it.

There were respected Rock Artists, those whom everyone died to emulate, an art icon, one who in the villages was known more that Da Vinci would ever be known, whom got all the girls, all the pretty ones. Of course, the girls would almost do anything to be drawn by this now artistic Lord.  The Lord of the Rock Art.

We can only imagine how it was. Any ways, I came across ROCK ART that I thought I should share. The beauty of Rock art, is that it was designed to pass a message. It was a way of Communication, a Story told, talking of Wars, Famine or even Love. This one right here is to cover the same purpose. To Communicate to tell a story, to show.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Rock Art.

The Spirit of Christmas.

17 Dec

The Spirit of Christmas. Well,  Christmas is a beautiful thing, it is. It is one of those moments that spark a lot of emotion in us. Personally, I got in the mood just as December finally got here. I have been involved in trillions of Christmas activities both in my church and around my home town,. Trying to bring out the joy that is associated to Christmas. So what I decided to do, now that there is no snow in Kenya, and well,. Trying to showcase the Christmas mood photographically speaking is kinda hard,.. so I decided to do doodles whenever I get time, these doodles usually take less than 15 minutes. So be prepared for more of these stuff, as it is exactly a week before Christmas.

Here we go,.. I plan to  always post something everyday till Christmas day. Keep checking for more stuff.

stay tuned,.. this week is going to be amazing,…. lemme take this early opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas. ( the Happy New year one is coming soon!!)

FREEDOM

16 Nov

I have been thinking whether I should post this or not. Why?? Because I am thinking of changing my template to something like the Modularity lite theme. Why? because it offers larger images and I can really have fun sharing images and other design related stuff.

The same reason I did not make a post yesterday. But I will do that soon, maybe today,.. Bungoma Photography set #3 coming up. Yaaay!!

Its officially becoming an obsession and a course I wanna fulfill.

……So, here’s today’s post.

It’s design photo manipulation.  there is alot behind it really, very personal form of expression I must say, I am getting my ground in freedom. Freedom to make my own choices, make my money, use it as I will, choose on what to believe in ( if you are 19 you find it really cool)

But the biggest freedom I have found so far should be the freedom I have found in Christianity. I am a Christian, and unashamed,….

Here it is though.,..(DRUM ROLLS)
